What is your horse telling you about your saddle fit? Did you know that refusing to stand still at the mounting block and fussing when you tighten the girth are sure behavior signs that your saddle fit could be better for your horse? I have seen these behaviors change time and time again when the saddle is properly fitted. I also recommend mounting without using a stirrup. Use the tallest mounting block you can find and just swing your leg over. When you mount this way, you will find it easy to alternate sides, which is an excellent idea for the health your own back and pelvis. Your horse will appreciate it. I guarantee.
